Formal recruitment
at Delta Gamma is one the most exciting times of the year. The
recruitment process at Drake is one of mutual selection between
each house and each potential new member. It is a great way for
us to grow new bonds with brand new girls, and fill our house
with bright, shining smiles that are excited about DGs philanthropies
and sisterhood.
There are three
separate events at which the new members have a chance to aquainte
themselves with each house. The first is Philanthropy day, which
is our opportunity to introduce the women to Anchor Splash®,
and other charitable events that DGs partake in. The
second is House Tour day, on which the potential new members get
a look at the house, as well as answers to any questions left
over from Philanthropy day. The final event is Preference Night,
when the women have a final moment to get to know the members
of DG and vice versa. Bid Day culminates the formal recruitment
process at Drake, when all the houses on Greek Street celebrate
together with their new members.
